RCK BEAD DESIGN

Materials & Quality

We work with carefully selected materials - some come from traditional manufacturers, others straight from nature. Here you'll find an overview of where our beads and components come from.

Glass beads

Japan

For our glass beads we use exclusively original Miyuki beads from Japan. Thanks to their first-class quality they create durable pieces with a particularly refined and delicate look. The name “Miyuki” stands for beauty and happiness – values reflected in every single bead.

Freshwater pearls

China

Our freshwater pearls come from organic Chinese production. As every pearl is a natural product, they are one-of-a-kind with a natural lustre and slight differences in shape - which is what makes them so special.

Threads & clasps

Europe

For my pieces I use exclusively elastic and non-elastic threads from renowned European manufacturers, valued for their high quality and durability. The clasps are made of high-quality, nickel-free stainless steel (DQ Metaal) – a quality metal alloy made in Europe. DQ Metaal stands for excellent craftsmanship, durable finishes and compliance with strict European quality standards. All materials are guaranteed nickel-free and refined with high-quality real-metal platings.

Craftsmanship

Every piece is strung and knotted by hand in our studio. We check each bead individually before it is used - small irregularities in natural materials such as freshwater pearls are part of their character, larger flaws are sorted out.
